Youth Specialties has been a Martin client since January 2014, working with our team on several sites for their events and services. However their main hub, Youthspecialties.com, had not been updated since 2005 and was in desperate need of an updated look and enhanced functionality to better serve its audience.
They required their new site to feature not only informational content, but an interactive blog and an e-commerce shop with better content organization and user experience. Their greatest challenge would be integrating multiple third party applications and complicated functionalities to help their website run smoothly.
We went through several rounds of meetings with the Youth Specialties team to hammer out exactly what functionalities would be needed for this robust site.
We evaluated their current site to decide the best way to approach each functionality and user experience element.
We planned out content and wireframes for each section of the site as well as content and functionality for their new user dashboard.
Developed an e-commerce store with third-party integrations, a custom shopping cart and smooth migration of 100's of products.
Their dashboard allows users to login, save blog articles, make a product wish list, view event updates and make purchases through one account.
We transitioned their all text history to a more dynamic timeline with scrolling animations and imagery.
